"Hospital Stay"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford)

I was rushed into A and E on the 17Febuary 2014,after being found on the floor having been there for 9 hours. I was treated with kindness and sent to the wardI don't know if they knew what I had but I didn't.It turned out to be a Bilary Sepsis, and I spent the next 69 daysi there with a week at the Exmouth Hospital as well.In all that time I was treated with the utmost respect and kindness especially by the ward staff who worked 12 hour shifts, and still kept their cool to the end. They were wonderful don't know how they did it.,Don't want to name any wards as I was on several, with out them I wouldn't be here .All I can say is thank you to every single one of you I met

Dear patient

The comments and responses on the web-site of Patient Opinion are shared with us at Healthwatch.

Thank you for responding through Patient Opinion to what was quite an extended period of treatment in Exeter and Exmouth. How reassuring after what must have been a distressing time.

More generally we are building a picture of the provision of services in Devon and these comments should help the NHS and other providers develop and improve their services.

If you wish to discuss any health or social care issues with us in confidence, including seeking advice or information about services, please call 0800 520 0640, or email info@healthwatchdevon.co.uk or go on-line to www.healthwatchdevon.co.uk.

Yours sincerely
