"Eyelid Congenital Ptosis Surgical Correction"

About: Moorfields Eye Hospital (City Road Campus)

I highly recommend this worldwide renowned hospital for eyelid congenital ptosis correction. I visited other hospitals in the past and several surgeons told me that a symmetrical result with my eyes was very difficult or impossible to achieve. I already had had an attempt to correct my ptosis with the Muller muscle dissection technique that unfortunately was unsuccessful. I had a ptosis of 1.5 mm on my left eye and the surgeon corrected it with apo repair anterior approach. The surgeon was aware that after the operation the eyelid would have dropped a bit so they overcorrected it, 2 mm in total (they asked for my consensus to proceed). The overcorrection did not result in any malfunctioning of the lid and my eyelid is closing properly. I only experienced a very feeble dry eye sensation during the first week after the operation, however I was prescribed drops to deal with it. Now I have symmetrical eyes and I am very happy. The staff have always been very helpful and in my appointments I have experienced only minor delays due to the large number of patients, which is fully understandable. I can only say: "Thank you Moorfields".

Thank you for you kind words of appreciation and it is good to know that you had a successful clinical outcome following what sounds a very tricky procedure.
