"Experiencing a cararact operation"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

I was nervous about possible pain being caused to my eye and the potential consequences. I need not have worried. Prior to the day of the op. I was told precisely what would happen and the trouble that would be taken. That reassurance was not misplaced.. From my reception and throughout the process all involved with me could not have been more helpful or solicitious. The surgeon radiared a quiet authority and intelligence which inspired confidence. and went to great lengths to ensure that all my queries were answered. The operation itself was was surreal with views of vivid coloured light and I felt no pain whatsoever , I cannot praise the Team enough. They are a credit to the Opthalmology Dept and the QE.. David Stott Malvern
