I attended the Allan Day unit on Tuesday morning at 10.30, I cannot praise the whole experience highly enough. On arriving I was greeted by a person who accompanied me to the department, on entering I cleaned my hands but the receptionist checked I had done so, I was seen so promptly, I was actually back in the car park before my appointment time. My husband arrived after parking the car and was amazed to know I'd been treated and was ready to leave, they also asked him to clean his hands, so impressive. The whole experience was superb, from free parking, almost unheard of at other hospitals, to the zone colouring, such a simple idea but so effective. I was treated with kindness and dignity. I really feel St Helen's is an example of how it should be done, other hospitals in the area should come and observe how you function, they would learn a lot. So thank you again St Helen's, I must add this isn't my first visit but every time I'm so impressed by the experience. Well Done....Please pass my thanks on to all the staff, from the lovely person who greeted me and took me to the department. the receptionist and the nurses who dealt with the injection.
