(as a service user),

They do what they can at the day centre. I go because I get out the house. I get my food and its very good, it’s much better than Bon Apetito. The cost is also very reasonable and it’s a door to door service. The girls are good.

I would prefer that we had our coffee and biscuits before getting on the bus to go home instead of with lunch. I don’t have room to eat more after lunch.

The service used to be better but there are that many restrictions now. I miss the wee treats like a glass of lemonade, I don’t know if it’s because of cost that this has stopped. You can’t even pass round a sweetie anymore.

They also don’t have the use of the bus anymore, we used to go on trips to Dunure and Millport. I really miss this.

Thank you for making us aware that there are elements of your day at our Overmills daycare unit which you are disatisfied with. I understand that a variety of liquid refreshments including lemonade are available, nothing has changed, I will ask that staff ensure that people attending are aware of this. You have advised that ' can't pass a sweetie round', we have a number of service users who are diabetic and therefore we need to monitor individuals sugar intake however the Unit manager has ensured that on a regular basis we do purchase' treats' that are suitable for all attendees to enjoy.

Lastly you have indicated that trips aren't arranged anymore. Overmills originally started as a social resource with it's own transport, we have now moved to a needs led service working with people with substantial increased care needs and the resource has developed to meet these needs. I am sorry that some elements of what we offer are not to your liking but it is important that we hear your views, I trust that my explanation is to your satisfaction.
