"Care of my 95 year old father in law"

About: Heartlands Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

Admitted as an emergency on a Sunday with a collapse and was treated with utmost care and dignity in the emergency department. He was seen by an A and E consultant and an elderly care consultant both present on a Sunday.

Now home recovering and I am grateful for the wonderful care he received.

Dear Mrsjk

Thank you for your post regarding your experience with your father at our Accident and Emergency Department.

I am pleased to read that your father received the utmost care and dignity, and that he was reviewed by both an ED Consultant and an Elderly Care Consultant, and that this combined care helped to ensure that your father was discharged safely to his home.

I will ensure that your feedback is forwarded to both Dr Ola Erinfolami, Clinical Director for Emergency Services, and to Dr Martin Sandler, Clinical Director for Elderly Care.

I hope this is acceptable, and I hope your father is continuing to recover well.

Once again, thank you so much for taking the time out to provide your comments, patient and family feedback very important to us.

Kind regards

Marie Helebert
