Hi I am a constant patient at st Georges and I have to say if it wasn't for these guys I don't know what id do as my health is an on going problem and getting worse the older I get sadly,
I had to attend the lower ground MRI center in Atkinson Morley wing on. I have to say the lady and man who did my MRI was amazing and so reassuring, its very difficult when you suffer with your nerves and you are claustrophobic, its a very daunting and scary thought in something that looks so small, I promise you, these guys are amazing, even down to the lovely lady on reception, there was lovely lots of air blowing through to make you feel comfortable and also the headphones luckily had my favourite tunes playing, though 20-30 minutes can feel like hours sometimes I promise that the experience will be over before you know it and to make it even easier the other end is open, a blindfold is a brilliant idea and I would advise anyone to have that, to take that sense away would be a must at this point, so take the opportunity to do so. if you do suffer severely with your nerves you can speak with your GP before hand for a mild tranquillizer to get you through your experience.
