What I liked

The staff were pleasant however were unhappy at not being in the clinical loop?

I asked them "what did they think its like for the patient".... just a very long silence..........

What could be improved

The Hospital has areas that were filthy and a group of people this year have taken swabs when visiting the hospital and the results were not good. Even the nurses in one area that had been "deep cleaned" were horrified at the dirt and slime trail.

The hospital needs to have its own infection control staff execute random swabs of lockers, beds, door handles, taps and waste bins and toilet floors etc., and then the Hospital can see for itself that all that glitters is not gold.

Your comments have been forwarded to our Patient Experience Lead nurse who will discuss these with the Matron for Clinical Services, and our Infection Control Team. We would like to reassure you that the hospital has been recently inspected by the Care Quality Commission against the National Hygiene Code and we were given full accreditation.
