"Avoid unless you have absolutely no other option."

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

From the staff who refused to listen to the reason why we were there, to the doctor who talked down to us as though we were infants in an extremely rude and argumentative fashion before sending us away with a prescription for the wrong medication, to the fact that even after two visits in a week, we are still waiting to find out how to care for my fractured limb and whether or not I will need an operation. This has to be the single most insulting and frustrating medical experience of,my life. Truly only in an emergency would I go back and even then I'd ask if there were another hospital nearby.

Dear reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to post your comment. We are sorry to hear about your experience in our A&E. Your experience does not reflect the level of care we expect our patients to receive and we would like to investigate your case so we can improve the service for future patients. If you are happy for us to do so, please send me your details to Julie.A.Dixon@uhl-tr.nhs.uk and I will look into it. Kind regards, Julie Dixon Senior Site Manager Leicester's Hospitals
