"Never have a baby in this hospital"

I had my baby in Kingston hospital in December of 2014. I can truly say, this was the worst experience I ever had in my life. Apart from the fact, that all midwives from this hospital didn't notice my baby was breach, until I was 40+2, when it was noticed they promised me a c-section on certain day. But that day they wouldn't even bother to tell me, that they won't do it. I ended up crying and leaving the place (which I still regret I haven't done) when I was promised a surgery next day. My birth partner was so tired after 2 days waiting in the hospital, so when I had my c-section I was alone. All staff treated me like I hadn't had a surgery. I was spoken to very rudely by some midwives, no one showed me how to breastfeed, when I wanted to express milk as one midwife suggested, I was told off by another it's the easy way out and if I don't own a pump at home, I should't do it. Then when breastfeeding wasn't working and my son was hungry, he cried at night, midwife made me walk for an hour around the stations because I disturbed other ladies with my son crying. I had to walk after 1 day of having a surgery. I was in so much pain. Then they realized he was hungry and gave me formula. Breastfeeding didn't work for me. But for that I was treated like I am less of a woman, some sort of a bad mother. After the surgery no one would let me sleep, they would come and wake me up all the time. It's just a bit of what happened to me. But please, any woman, out there, don't go to this hospital. They delay everything, they won't even discharge you on time, my friend with 2 kids had to wait 2 hours for me, when I clearly told I was going at certain hour. They even forgot to give me my folic acid when I was leaving, because they aren't organized enough. I still remember that week in the hospital and I regret so much for having my son there. I can say, it was the worst of the worst what happened to me. No one ever treated me like this before. Most midwives were so rude to me. I just don't want anyone else to experience what I had and I hope something changes in the future.
