"Mum soon put at ease at dementia assessment"

About: Tolworth Hospital / Memory clinic

(as a relative),

I attended Tolworth Hospital Dementia Dept with my mother who was going in for an assessment. She was meeting with a new consultant and was quite apprehensive (as with a lot of older people, she was nervous about change! ).

We met with Neil Clemenson and he was a very positive, friendly and chatty person who (I observed) soon put mum at ease and I could see she felt quite relaxed talking to him. He performed a dementia test and mum did quite well as she felt more at ease.

I came away thinking what a credit Neil was in the whole care system and if only we had more people in the caring professions of his character! !

Dear hulahuma,

My name is Jane and I am one of the Patient Experience Leads for the Trust. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us and for such lovely words about our staff. I will be passing on your comments to Mr Clemenson and I am sure he too will be pleased to hear such positive feedback.

I am glad that your mum felt at ease during what could have been a difficult time and I hope she will continue to benefit from the services we provide.

Once again, many thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

Kind regards

Jane
