What I liked
All staff on Cedar Ward supported me for the 3 months I was an inpatient following a traumatic road accident. They got me walking again and the community physios continued the good work for a further 2 years. The ward was kept spotlessly clean and the staff were cheerful and encouraging. The hospital has a friendly community feel and patients are kept informed unlike at larger impersonal hospitals. I would always choose to be treated at St Cross in preference to Coventry.
What could be improved
Staffing levels on wards. Nurses were sometimes put under too much pressure.
More shower / toilet facilities on wards.
