Before Fiona our family worker came we was at our wits end for ripping our hair out. Everything we'd tried with J wasn't working. Then Fiona came out and just talking on ways we could improve our outlook on J's behaviour helped. Having somebody to talk to about the behaviour was a relief and made us feel like we aren't bad parents with the help of Fiona we constructed a star chart, we wrote out the rules on flash cards, then on another set of cards we had the reward system so that we could sit down as a family and go through what we expect from J's behaviour wise and this reinforcement has helped us a great deal. J's behaviour has improved dramatically and we could see where his behaviour wasn't great because he wouldn't get a star rather that thinking he was bad that day. I think without Fiona's help and having someone to speak to we wouldn't be where we are now. I think Fiona is great and it has been wonderful having her help us with working out our issues amd where we could improve with the parenting of J with Fiona's help we've realised no child is good all the time but we've learnt positive reinforcements to deal with those times and on a whole we're a happier family. Before Fiona came I felt like a rubbish parent having to ask for help and felt like I was going to be judged for not coping but in all honesty it was the best decision we could have made.
