About: Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I asked to be referred to the specialist Hand Unit for wrist problem and also my son to be referred to the Upper Limb Unit for assessment of his broken collar bone. This was straightforward, we were seen quickly and efficiently and reassured about diagnosis and treatment.

I had previously undergone foot surgery 18 months before at the Orthopaedic hospital and can't fault it. With its long standing reputation, there is a very caring atmosphere throughout the whole team. Cleanliness is exceptional, infection rates are consistently low and the nurses, physios and doctors all know exactly what they are doing and are up to date with the latest treatments and technology.

The hospital sets the standards for all NHS Hospitals to aspire to.

What could be improved

Nothing.

Anything else?

Ask your GP to refer you to the Orthopaedic hospital at Oswestry for specialist care and the hightest level of quality. You will be in safe expert hands.

We aim to provide high quality services for all our patients and the Trust is pleased to hear that your experience was so positive.

We will pass on your comments to the relevant department.

In 2007, the Trust was named the best hospital in the country by its patients in the national Healthcare Commission Inpatient Survey. This is an achievement we are very proud of and work to retain.
