"updating a building doesn't fix the real problem"

About: The Royal London Hospital

Was sent by my gp to the hospital to have my baby monitored due to reduce movements ..had to wait ages but can be understandable when hooked on to the monitor was left for what was supposed to be 15 minutes but came back after 30 minutes and midwife asks have you felt the baby move I say yes and they said oh I think this monitor isn't working do you mind if you wait till one the other rooms are free because I need to monitor again as this one's faulty ....This happened to me on two occasions... also once midwife referred me for a scan, they said the scan department will call you in the morning with an appointment if not call them on this number ...waited all day Friday no one called, but when I tried the number midwife gave me it was a fax number so had to Google for the correct number only for them to tell me they haven't received any referral for me to call back Monday. which I did still nothing and now there telling me to come back get reassessd and if needed they will try and refer me again what a joke I'm 39 weeks pregnant and just stressed over all this ...plus had iron infusion was told needed a blood test after my third infusion but no one has taken my bloods ...I am dreading giving birth at this hospital but don't have any other choice as it's the only local one to me

We are sorry to hear of your experience and that this is, understandably at 39 weeks pregnant, making you feel stressed. Please accept our apologies. We would like to discuss with you the concerns you have raised here and ask that you contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 020 3594 2040 or by email: pals@bartshealth.nhs.uk so that we can look into this in more detail and ensure that you receive the treatment and care you need. Kind regards Barts Health NHS Trust
