"A very long stay in Maternity"

About: Princess Alexandra Hospital (Harlow)

I gave birth to my little girl last September. Due to various reasons I was bought in for an Induction and was in the Antenatal ward for 4 days before labour really got started. The care was outstanding (with the exception of one agency midwife), kind, considerate. explained everything easily without being patronising, friendly. When on the labour ward I had constant care due to various reasons and was again treated with the upmost care and consideration. I ended up having a C-Section which was handled brilliantly and at no point did we feel excluded from the process. The post-natal ward care was again brilliant - the overnight midwife in charge was great, offering brilliant care but also getting me up and about as soon as possible. Highly highly rate the service and would be happy to return if I need to in future.

Thank you so much for your kind comments, Nicola, which I've passed on to our maternity team and our Chief Nurse.
