I have recently moved to Cromer from a large E Midlands town with access to two major hospitals. Have been treated in both via E and E but in neither case was as expevertly and respectfully dealt with as I was here. Having injured my ankle the evening before whilst walking the dog, I attended the Minor Injuries unit as the pain was getting worse despit ice and elevation. I was greeted by a very polite and efficient receptionist and was seen by a Nurse practitioner almost immediatley (unknown event in my experience). I was xrayed within 10 minutes, luckily there were no fractures, so was given further advice and sent on my happy way within 50 minutes of entering the unit. To say I was amazed was an understatement. What a wonderful Unit this is. Maybe the rest of the NHS A and E units should learn from this, however I am sure that a lot comes from the excellent doctors surgeries in the area that provide such a good and timely service that unnecessary visits to A and E are not required. I cannot praise this service highly enough.
