"Waiting Area- Needs looking at"

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

My husband visited hull royal infirmary A&E,minor injuries due to a work related injury. We had traveled from scunthorpe hospital as they were unable to give the necessary treatment. He saw a consultant from the maxilofacial department who was great no complaints at all, pleased to say my husbands injury is healing nicely although still under going dental treatment. My concern was whilst in the waiting area,my son and I were sat in there for approx.3.5 hours during this time on separate occasions two men came into the waiting area obviously drunk one of which had his trousers undone and often had his hand down his pants telling us all some very personal details about his penis! As you can imagine left people feeling most uncomfortable and not very safe.I felt very sorry for the receptionist and nursing staff who were left to deal with them, surprised there were no security staff to help deal with them. I feel it's upsetting enough for both the patient and their family to be at the hospital without having to deal with drunks.
