My friend was in this Hospital a year ago and was discharged at a very poor time. Social services had just told her she's never have her kids back and she was sent home with no electricity, water, etc. A week later, she took her own life. I was in another hospital at the time of her death and ended up going from informal to section soon after hearing the news. Whilst sectioned, they mover me here, even though it was the last place I'd seen my friend alive. To make it worse, staff said I couldn't talk about her. Staff were rude and gruff with me too. While half the staff were good, the other half made advantage of any opportunity to snap at and power trip over me. Staff talked to the patients like naughty school children. When I complained to AWP, they come up with excuses to justify their behaviour and used my own RIO notes against me. It took a lot of persuading to get moved back to the unit I'd been in before, so I could actually recover and be discharged.
