"hernia repair operation - fast track"

I called the Nuffield on the Monday and got an appointment with the consultant on Tuesday evening. On the Wednesday I went for my pre-op which was a full medical, a copy of which I received. On the Friday I went in for the operation. It is now Saturday and I am back home, quite weak, but virtually pain free and with all the medication and information necessary for a complete recovery in a few weeks. I cannot fault the Nuffield at all......yes I had to pay, something I couldn't normally afford to do, but am fortunate that I can at the moment. I did have a scan at my GP's and got an appointment for a consultant late August and was told the operation would be at the end of this year or beginning of next year, but my pain and discomfort was getting worse and it turns out could have become an emergency if left too long. I cannot fault the professionalism, care and consideration given by all of the staff and would recommend the Nuffield to anyone who had the need and opportunity to go there.
