I was admitted into BVH on the 18th July for a total right replacement and I must say throughout the whole experience I was treated with respect, empathy and professionalism from very friendly staff. From the reassurances by the theatre staff about an epidural (as I've never had one let alone had major surgery under this form of anaesthetic) to the way all the nursing staff put me at ease after my procedure. The nursing staff on the ward could not do enough for me and I have to thank them as the compassion and patience they showed whilst understanding my frustration was faultless as I'm a very independent professional person in my normal everyday life. I would recommend anyone who has concerns regarding surgery to read these reviews beforehand as I'm sure they will erase any concerns that they may have about their impending surgery. Thank you again theatre staff and nursing staff from ward 15a.
