"Brilliant care and attention"

About: London Ambulance Service NHS Trust Queen's Hospital / Accident & emergency

(as the patient),

I was knocked off my bicycle late recently nearing Ilford by a driver who didn't stop. Fortunately a number of other drivers did stop, call the police and ambulance service who both seemed to arrive really quickly. The ambulance was staffed by some excellent people, although I only got one name; Dermot, so a big thank you to Dermot and colleague for your care and attention.

Then onto Queens, no waiting, straight into what looked like a brand new private room, wired for sound...brilliant care and attention, multiple exams CT, X-Ray etc, pain relief, cuts cleaned and bandaged and whilst being retained for observation even a most welcome cup of tea and biscuits.

Being knocked off your bike by someone who doesn't even stop can never be a good experience, yet the people who stopped to help me, the ambulance team and everyone at Queens changed my view of people, the NHS and that night generally. Thank you all.
