"Removal of small mole on forehead."

About: James Paget University Hospital

My GP referred me to the Dermatology Department and I quickly got an appointment with one of the doctors. I had a minor op the surgeon did an excellent job and explained everything to me, and took the trouble to cut into a line on my forehead so the scar is less noticeable. In fact the scar is fading fast and is quite inconspicuous, even the nurse who removed the stitches at my GP surgery said what neat stitches they were. All the staff who I met were very kind and helpful and did their best to make me comfortable and put me at ease. I got the result quite quickly after the biopsy and fortunately it was not malignant which was a relief but because the surgeon had reassured me about it not spreading even if it was cancer it was not so stressful. I am very grateful for the treatment I received and the way I was treated by all the staff. I think we have a hospital to be proud of in the James Paget and I for one am very glad to have it as my local hospital.

Dear Ms Huggins Many thanks for providing feedback regarding your recent experience related to the dermatology department. I am pleased to hear that your results from the biopsy test evidenced no malignancy. I have shared your feedback with the teams involved who will, I am sure, be pleased to hear such lovely comments. Best Wishes Amanda Hood Head of Patient Experience and Engagement
