"what is a floating waiting list!"

About: King George Hospital

When you eventually get to see a consultant/doctor they are fantastic in Rheumatology. i need to see another dept which was referred by Rhuematology as an urgent over a month and half ago. when i rang that dept and they said that all consultants put down urgent on the forms! and they need to do a full letter at this time im on a floating waitin list (what ever that is!). All this time i am in agony as i can no longer take my original pain killers. Trying to get through to anyone on the phone is impossible. Im at my wits end now!

Thank you for taking the time to write to us. I'm sorry to hear that you have had difficulty getting in contact with our Rheumatology department. Whilst we understand that there is high demand for our services, we expect our staff to put patients at ease. I would urge you to contact our PALS team on 01708 435 454, or by email PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk, who will help you to get this sorted. Yours sincerely Nadeem Moghal Medical Director
