A friend took me to Boston A&E after I'd twisted my knee & was unable to walk. The waiting time at A&E was 2 hours, but I was seen after 1 hour, the nurse sent me for x rays, then I got to see a Dr. At this stage I was impressed with how quickly I was being dealt with.
After being examined by 2 drs, they diagnosed a soft tissue injury & suggested a knee brace, but they didn't have one. So a strapping was going to be applied, but they didn't have that either. Crutches were offered but I already have my own.
As I'd told them I was seeing an orthapedic surgeon at Lincoln hospital for ongoing problems in this knee, they said he can look after with this new injury and that was that. I felt they were passing the buck!
