"Thanks to all on the MAU at Royal Blackburn"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

My father recently passed away on the Medical Assessment Unit at the hospital and I can not thank the staff enough for how they looked after him and also looked after me at a very difficult time. I felt that my father was treated with respect and dignity throughout and I was not rushed in any way and was supported throughout. I would also like to say that the Bereavement Service were very kind and very helpful. They assisted and guided me and I was able to cope with what needed to be done, making it a little easier. Thank you all..

Dear Sue Many thanks for your feedback and thank-you for taking the time to give such feedback at such a difficult time. I have already passed this on to the MAU and bereavement teams and they will be pleased to know that a difficult time has been made more bearable through their interventions..…thank you. I am very pleased to hear that you’re your father’s care and your experience of care was positive as we always strive to deliver safe, personal & effective care. We would be keen to hear more from you at a time that is right for you, if you would like to talk through your experience with one of our Patient Experience team we would really value this so that we can try to make it like this for every patient visiting our hospitals and services. You can either contact me, Meg Davey on 01254 733698 or email me on margaret.davey@elht.nhs.uk.
