"Changed the appointment date"

About: Nuffield Health, Leeds Hospital

I had an appointment to discuss my operation at Nuffield Health and agreed with a suitable date for me and the doctor which was the 2nd week of August 2015. But on June I rang the hospital a few times, they didn't pick up but after a few days of trying they picked up and I spoke with my surgeon's secretary because I didn't receive my operation letter, and I was told that the date was cancelled. I was disappointed because I have been waiting for 5 months to get my operation done. I requested the doctor to call me back but I waited more than 3 weeks and the surgeon still hasn't called me back. I expected a reason why they cancelled it but i didn't get one. The reason I wanted it at this time was because I had to pick up my kids from school so i chose it in between a holiday date. I told the surgeon this and the surgeon agreed with me. Also I thought that the surgeon would give me a date the week after or something like that, but gave it at 9th September which is not suitable for me and the secretary said the booking department organises the booking dates. The other day the secretary said the booking department organise it. I realised they don't care about the patients and they are not a responsible team. I informed my GP and my GP requested the august date, and they told my GP they let down so many people like this. This is why i think they are not a responsible team.
