This is some feedback that was received from the patients within The High Secure Personality Disorder Service at Rampton Hospital (Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust) following a Recovery focused Summer event on Tuesday 14th July 2015 which was supported by some of the Rosewood volunteers and attended by our Chief Executive Ruth Hawkins.
A summer sports day was organised by staff from Chiltern Day Care services and co-hosted by some of our Male patients. Some of the staff and patients enjoyed playing Table Tennis, Badminton and Bowling outside in the sunshine whilst those more energetic engaged in a great game of five a side on the football court. The games ended with ice creams, ice lollies and strawberries for all.
Feedback from the patients was very positive and included some of the following quotes
‘Positive day, football played in good manner. Enjoyed seeing staff encouraging patients and staff also joining in’
‘Great to be engaged in outdoor activity in good weather instead being on the wards’
‘Brill day, enjoyed ice creams after spending time out in the sun’
‘Would like more days like this’
""Enjoyed seeing staff encouraging patients and staff also joining in’"
