"professional receptionist in AMD"

About: Western Eye Hospital

I attend the AMD dept at the Western Eye Hosp regularly with a friend who requires injection in both his eyes every 4 weeks. The waiting rooms are always full to capacity with very anxious and frightened people of all ages but mainly middle aged & elderly. The waiting times are always quite lengthy. But this does involve photos/scans, seeing the dr re the results & then finally the dreaded injection! Whilst waiting with my friend I observe all that goes on. I have got to say you have to have patience, compassion, control and friendliness and much much more to be a receptioist in this busy and demanding dept. And my goodness there was one receptionist that has all those attributes 100%! I hope you let this receptionist know how much they are appreciated by many of the waiting patients including my friend. They are always happy smiling polite & so very helpful with everyone. Don't lose them.
