Feeling very isolated and not knowing where to go for help, I drove around the car park several times not feeling that it was appropriate to access this particular service. However, after plucking up courage as I was feeling so desperate, I entered despite not having an appointment and all of my expectations were exceeded by the first point of contact. The efficient reception staff treated me with dignity and kindness. I was told how long I would have to wait before seeing a GP and felt reassured that my need to be seen, was not in any way judged as non urgent or not important despite a busy session. The waiting time was explained clearly and accurately. I was just so relieved that I was able to access and be seen. The GP that I felt so fortunate to see, was attentive, despite a clearly busy and challenging shift; they were thorough and above all compassionate and kind. They reassured and informed me and offered treatment and advice. I could not have asked for better care and attention. I don't know if they will ever realise the difference they all made to me that evening and that is why I felt compelled to write this. Thank you all again so much.
