"Temporary resident"

(as a relative),

I brought my relative to Largs to see his mother who is registered with your practice. As he is terminally ill and in his final weeks I urgently requested several procedures to be put in place and everyone was amazingly helpful. I acquired some iron tablets with an almost instant prescription, the doctor called when we were frightened over an issue, also in general the staff on the telephone and at reception were beyond helpful, supportive and understanding. I am so grateful. Please remove him from this temporary cover as he insisted on coming home this weekend.

Dear Temporary,

We all deserve the best care, particularly at a time like this and it is heartwarming to hear that it was so supportive and helpful to you all. It is a difficult time for everyone, so the smoother the issues are responded to, the better all round. I will pass your gratitude to the Largs GP practice and community nursing team, I am sure it I will be very much appreciated that you have taken this time out and shared this with us.

I hope all the rest of your relative’s care continues in the same way - caring, supportive and responsive to all needs.
