"Wonderful care and kind caring staff"

I have recently undergone two day case surgical procedures at this hospital and can only say that my experience has been second to none. On both occasions I attended the department as arranged and everything ran smooth as clockwork with regard to timings and explanations given to me about what was to happen. These teams work cohesively and compassionately putting the patient firmly st the centre of care planning and delivery. The hospital itself is spotless and nurses and Doctors identify themselves and communicate effectively. The nurse who cared for me was unstintingly conscientious and kept checking whether I understood them In fact they had near perfect English and even managed a couple of tension breaking and self deprecating jokes which helped immensely with my nervousness. The anaesthetic teams were kind, polite and efficient. They clearly undestood that however minor the procedure, having a GA is a nerve wracking experience. I would strongly recommend Basford Hospital in a situation where one has a choice.
