"waiting list."

I was put on waiting list for op April 2014 got called in sept. after 6 hrs in admissions was sent home no beds and promised return within 28 days. nothing at Xmas rang to see where I was on list, told temporarily put to one side as lots of cancer patients and my op needed the main theatre which was rammed their words. recalled Feb 2015 cancelled night before via phone. April saw my Dr as couldn't get to speak to anyone at hospital neither could he so he wrote to my consultant and ask me to contact pals. who said they would get back to me but after 2 weeks hadn't. I was upset. my daughter who us staff nurse at LCH rang them. after promising to ring her back and not she rang again and ask to speak to someone higher up. the lady said you are not going to let this drop are you and my daughter said no. After speaking to lady in Boston who emailed urology I was given an app for July which has just been done. The waiting messing around taking time off work for op and having to ask to go back as op cancelled, has been hell and very stressful. If it hadn't been for my doctor and daughter I feel I would still be waiting and in considerable pain. It has been like having my life on hold couldn't plan holidays or anything as op needed to be done.

This week was done and staff. and care was brilliant. just food was awful but as only one night stay didn't choose myself.

Hello Toni thankyou for getting in touch.I don't mind you looking into my experience.If it can help.someone else.It was very frustrating but I do understand and appreciate there were people more poorly than me my main concern was no communication from the hospital to put me in the picture.as I said once I got my operation I couldn't fault the Doctors Nurses or any of the staff for their care.kind Regards
