"Poor walk-in service"

About: Edgware Community Hospital

I visited Edgware Community Hospital recently with a severely swollen throat, I found the level of service to be unacceptable in regards to the nurse who treated me. The nurse in question seemed highly uninterested in anything I had to say, particularly important things such as me questioning that since my mother does not having a spleen, would my swollen throat pose any risk of infection to her? I also asked several other related questions which the nurse did not seem interested in enough to answer, instead they had their eyes glued to the computer screen as they tapped away painfully slow at the keyboard for the next 5 minutes. The nurse did finally answer my question after many attempts, telling me "as long as you don't kiss her, she should be fine". The nurse felt the need to have me repeat back my prescription a few times, like a school child (How many pills to take, how many hours in-between) and I felt this really wasn't necessary, I'm an adult, i think I'm capable of reading the packet, and keeping to the right dosage. The nurse complained that since I only live in Edgware, why have I left it till 8:50pm, 10 minutes before closing time to come to the walk in centre. I feel this was absolutely unnecessary, unproffesional and rude to ask. It wasn't asked in a jovial way, more in a complaining manner and "its nearly the end my shift" tone. I can sympathise to a certain extent, its been a long day I'm sure, but It's none of their concern when I arrive. The fact of the matter was that it clearly stated the last patient would be booked in at 9pm sharp and I had arrived before this time, therefore am well within time and have every right to be seen and receive the same level of service as someone would at opening time. Overall poor interpersonal skills and a lack of empathy from said nurse.
