Following my attention at City Rd eye clinic on the Friday 26th June I received a phone call from Sandwell hospital on the following Monday morning 29th June advising that an appointment had been made for me to see their Stroke consultant on Tuesday afternoon 30th June. I was seen within 15minutes of my appointment time and received a thorough examination and interview. Immediately after this I had an ECG exam and full blood test. During the following week I received another phone call from Sandwell giving me an appointment for an MRI scan on Saturday morning 4th July. I have now received appointments for an echocardiogram on the 17th July and to have a 24hour monitor fitted on the 24th July. I have also received in the post a full report from the consultant detailing our discussions. The attention we received at Sandwell in all departments was faultless. The downside is that I cannot drive until 4 weeks after the problem occurred. Sandwell is not convenient to us but I doubt that I would have received such prompt attention at Russells Hall. I shall relay all this to my own Doctor. I would appreciate some reply from RH.
