"I went to the Eye Clinic, what ..."

About: Bedford Hospital South Wing

(as the patient),

What I liked

I went to the Eye Clinic, what I liked was the speed with which I was seen. I went to my GP tuesday afternoon he said he would fax the hospital. At 09.30 the NEXT morning the Eye Clinic Sister rang me and asked if I could come in for 10.am, I did, I saw the consultant had a good discusion with him and by 10.30 am I was on my way home with instruction what to do.. This was excellent seing a Consultant in less than 24 hours from referal by my GP.

All the clinic staff were very friendly and helpful and the whole area very clean and tidy

Anything else?

There was plenty of car park spaces even at 10.am , and the price is very reasonable.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on Bedford Hospital's NHS Choices website. Our ophthalmology (eye) services are run by Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, meaning patients in Bedfordshire and the surrounding counties are able to access world-class eye care and treatment locally. We are delighted you had a positive experience of using this service, and will pass your comments on to staff in the Eye Clinic. We are also pleased to hear you found it easy to park. We have recently introduced a lower car parking tariff to our Kempston Road car park, meaning patients and visitors pay much less for short visits. For more information you can visit our website www.bedfordhospital.nhs.uk
