"2 Hours in A&E with a 10 Year Old !"

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital

Spent 2 hours in A & E with our 10 year old daughter. Treatment by staff was very good but it was the waiting around - not what you need on a Tuesday night. We went around to the Children's A & E waiting room where we felt ignored for nearly 2 hours. Eventually when we did get seen the doctor & xray man were shocked that we had been waiting for so long. In all there was around 6 children waiting to be seen at 9pm at night! It looked like there was shift change because after that happened we got seen. Not very impressed with the wait time but the treatment by all the staff was excellent.
