I had to come for a pre-op Assessment. For this I had to visit 3 clinics and was there for 3 hours. Form filling, ECG and Bloods taken. My appointment was 9.05am. I had to wait until 9.30am. Then ECG. I had to wait 30 minutes. The technician who did the procedure was pleasant enough but felt that they really didn't want to be there. The 3rd Clinic was horrendous. I had to wait 1hour and 25 minutes to be spoken to like I was nothing. No conversation except 'sit there'. On trying to be pleasant I was met with a blank face and absolutely no response. I got the feeling I was not wanted there. The whole experience left me hating Lincoln County Hospital and vowing never to come back. As a result I was extremely anti when I had to report for the operation 5 days later. I was stressed and worried that I would be treated like a thing and not a person. Luckily the staff on that day were wonderful. If my GP asks that I attend any further clinics at Lincoln will refuse even if it means I get no treatment. I have never in the whole of my life been treated like this and I would never treat another human being in this manner. If the staff don't want to deal with the public perhaps they should be in a different profession.
