I went to monklands mid April when I had a fall and landed very heavily on my hand, I was examined and given an xray by the A & E dept but they couldn't see anything at this time, I was asked to come back in two weeks, when I returned they still couldn't see anything, because I was still in a great deal of pain, I was told I would be referred for a MRI scan, this happened a few weeks later, I am now being told that I have a fracture in my hand and I have been referred as I may now need an operation, I arrived at my appointment in July, however unfortunately the doctor was in surgery and my next appointment is next week, to say I am unhappy with the care I have received is an understatement, has my whole hand been looked at correctly? Is this why it hasn't shown the fracture on both occasions? am I now facing the possibility of an operation due to incorrect x-rays, seems to me that only part of my hand has been in x-ray instead of my whole hand, during this process I have lost my job. This was a new job and unfortunately they were unable to keep me on due to the length of time my injury is taking to heal, I would like someone to look into this and get back to me please.
