What I liked

I very much liked the way the consultant shouted at me and reduced me to tears.

What could be improved

Consultants making their own individual assessment of you rather than reading notes from other hospitals.

Anything else?

We are led to believe you are able to request a 2nd opinion from another consultant if requested. This is not the case, as doctors etc. in the Essex hospitals all meet up regularly for meetings and probably discuss certain "troublesome" patients. This in turn leads to a bias against a patient seeking this second opinion and the treatment they receive. I believe this is what happened to myself and why the Consultant ignored symptoms, did not do any tests and I was discharged on the spot. This gentleman was bullying and intimidating. I had seen him privately prior to this appointment and he was very charming!

I have ended up with a fairly serious condition that will need lifelong treatment which I believe could have been found much earlier and could have avoided the disability caused by it.

I have made a complaint but surprise surprise, no response as yet.
