What I liked
I would not recommend having a baby at Basildon Hospital due to the fact that the place was extremely dirty. The only good thing i have to say regarding the Maternity team was the surgical team that performed an emergency c section on myself. Their commitment, team work and the operation was quick and i would say exceptional. The Cedar ward was digustingly dirty. The staff were loud and not very helpful i had asked 3 times for a bottle and got ignored and finally after three attempts at asking i attempted to get up after surgery to get it myself. The bedding wasnt changed and there were containers with urine in the toilets. Overall i was appauled and would never ever have a baby there again. Absolutly filthy it was.
