I waited over an hour for my 5 minute rushed appointment - however the biggest issue was that I am on crutches and have now got blisters on my hands - I asked the staff in the fracture clinic for a couple of bandages to wrap around my crutches / hands so I could walk with my crutches because the blisters are exceptionally painful and I have a long way to 'walk' to and from bus stops to get home - reply was: we can't give out bandages. I was pretty shocked to hear that so I asked instead for a couple of plasters to which the reply was again 'no'. Absolutely appalling. I would have happily reimbursed the hospital for a couple of bandages or plasters or even bought you a box of them if you are that cash strapped. I will now have to find a way home which will involve carrying my crutches and hopping which is extremely painful, difficult, time consuming and embarrassing. I still can not believe that staff were unwilling to help me prevent further pain and injury by simply giving me either a couple of plasters or a bandage!
"Disappointing"
