I arrived at A&E in the early hours of 24/06/2015 with abdominal pain and nausea. I was moved to SSS later that day and following various tests on 25/06/2015 a CT scan finally revealed a problem with my appendix. I had a surgical procedure for a perforated appendix later that evening. Following that I was catheterized for acute urinary retention but was eventually allowed home on the evening of the 28/06/2015 I would like to thank all the staff involved in my care from start to finish. In my opinion they were excellent. Please pass on my appreciation to the A&E staff on duty on the 24th, to the surgeon and their surgical team on duty on the 25th, who I thought were caring and professional. Also my nurse in recovery who was so good. To the Consultant and their team on SSS who I also thought were caring and professional. Lastly to all the day and night staff on SSS who looked after me throughout with great care and good humour. Thanks to you all I am now making an excellent recovery and I am very very grateful.
