Worst service ever waiting time of 3 hours in A&E with only one doctor on duty is completely unacceptable

We are one of the busiest A&E departments in London and see our patients in order of clinical need. 95% of our patients are seen within the four hour target and we are continuing to seek ways to improve on this score. Not all patients need to be seen as an emergency and we try to encourage our patients to seek alternative treatment, where this is appropriate. Yours sincerely Wendy Matthews Interim Chief Nurse
