"Operation cancelled less than 24 hours before!"

I am so very sad that my otherwise healthy 82 year dad who had psyched himself up for a procedure on an anerysm , had his procedure cancelled less than 24 hours before the day, due to a lack of beds, he has gone downhill ever since and is unrecognisable! They tried to reschedule but he is now to ill due to the cancellation! The vascular nurses have a nice way about them and people have tried to help but that doesn't help my now weak ill dad.
