I can't thank Tameside Hospital enough. I had a total Hip Replacement on the 17th September 2014 and was cared for in the Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward. I was treated with dignity and respect throughout my stay. My surgeon was wonderful and came so see me after the operation and again every morning whilst I was in the ward. I can honestly say I have had no pain from the day of the operation. Of course you must take heed as to what you can't do for the first 12 weeks, but it is well worth it and the time passes quickly. I had a 6 week follow-up and a 6 month follow-up, after which I was discharged. My new hip feels just like my own which I am sure is thanks to good surgery, excellent nursing and the physiotherapy, and as I said I can't thank all the staff enough.I couldn't have had better treatment had I been a private patient
