"overall observation and experience ok BUT"

About: University Hospital Of North Durham

on attending for my first diabetic retinopathy not knowing what to expect on arrival I was met by a pleasant member of staff, who soon turned in to a very ignorant individual with a tone of voice and attitude I would consider unacceptable for public or civil duty certainly not in a health care back ground very uneducated, inconsiderate and unhelpfull

Thank you for providing feedback on your recent visit to Ophthalmology at the University Hospital of North Durham. I am very pleased to hear that you had on the whole a positive experience and that you are happy with the care you received. I am sorry for the experience with the member of staff who you feel was inconsiderate and unhelpful. The Trust is grateful for all feedback, positive or negative, as it means we can better understand what is important to our patients, and your kind comments will be shared with the manager of the service to pass onto the staff on your behalf. I know they will be encouraged by your positive rating and will also reflect on the negative comment you have made. Thank you for leaving your comments on NHS Choices.
