"The caring attention of all the ..."

About: James Paget University Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

The caring attention of all the staff in A&E was excellent throughout. The waiting time in "Majors" was minimal and my wife was treated wonderfully well. have nothing but the highest praise for the kindness and attention given by both nurses and doctors. I should also praise the receptionists who invariably treat us promptly and with sympathy. My wife's condition means that we have had to use the A&E about 10 times so far this year and we have had no complaints on any occasion.

What could be improved

I wonder, to save any possible awkwardness, if there could be some physical separation in the waiting area for "Majors" and "Minors". My wife's heart condition always has to be treated as the former but we inevitably get strange looks from people in the other category who have obviously been there for some time when we get seen almost straightaway.

Anything else?

Hopefully one day the CCU will be separated into male and female wards.
