Well, the story starts this way. I took my wife to King George Hospital in Goodmayeswith severe and acute pain in her right ear and she was suffering and crying with pain. King George hospital left her waiting in A&E for about an hour without beings asked. I approached recepetion and was told that there would be wait for another 4 hours. problem is not the wait, problem is that those without pain and suffering (with respect to all patients) could wait little longer and priority should be given to more vulnerable patients. but that was not the case at King George Hospital (I am making official complaints about them). Fed up from hospital response, I drove her to Queens Hospital in Romford where she was given priority and was seen by nurse withint 30min who prescribed some pain killers and referred to 'major lite' department where we waited until 3am before being seen. I am somewhat happy about services at Queens, as they didnt allow paitent suffer. they killed the pain and made her wait, which is somewhat satisfactory given number of patient ahead of us. But yet they didnt refer her pain killer and prescribed more pain killers. Reached home at 4am. not impressive care. Pain came back at around 10am and after some recommendation from friend doctor, took her to Barts Trust hospital in Whitechapel. My first response was 'I think i believe in NHS again'. Greeted well by the receptionists, seen by nurse in 15 minute, and then doctore in next 30min. after few test and blood samples, immediate referal to ENT department, seen by specialists, treated by specialists by proper treatment (not just pain killers), patient was listened to, kept well informed, got follow up appointment. I walked in the hospital at 1pm and was out by 5:15pm. Thank you all at hospital who are doing such a great job. I believe its all due to the culture developed by the hospital management within the staff inc doctors, nurses and others, that makes all the diffeerence. I would certainly recommend anyone to this hospital blindfold. Good on you all.
