"Positive Birth Experience"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

We had our little baby girl on the 23 October 2014, in the labour ward of Queen's Hospital, the midwife on the Labour ward who took me through the whole labour was absolutely amazing and encouraging even though my labour was long and stalled in the middle. I used all of the natal hypnotherapy tips via a course I did (NHS affiliated course run at Queen's but privately funded). These tips were invaluable - I cannot rate it highly enough! The midwives were impressed with how calm I was and they worked with me to ensure a positive outcome. The head matron was great too. Well done to the midwives who do a great job under a lot of pressure on a daily basis.

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter. I’m really pleased that the natal hypnobirthing classes you attended at our hospital prior to the birth helped to prepare you, so that you felt calm and in control. I’m also glad that you thought our staff were amazing. It makes me very proud to be the Chief Nurse here. Yours sincerely Wendy Matthews Interim Chief Nurse
